Training and Walking

Done privately or in groups of two. These walks are less structured than the private walk and train (although training is always a part of my work) and will get your dogs out and exploring by themselves or with a canine buddy. Walks will focus on letting your dogs enjoy the outdoors in their own fashion with lots of time to sniff and explore. The time doesn't start until we are out and walking. 30 minute walks are neighbourhood based unless you live close to an on leash trail. Great for confident dogs who just need some outdoor time while you are busy. Scent work games, tug, or other enrichment activities are often included.

These walks are done privately or with one well matched walking buddy. These adventure outings are meant to build confidence, fun, and get your dog out and exploring the world. We take your dogs to many different locations and on adventures depending on your dogs needs and wants. From hikes, lakes, coffee shops, indoor or outdoor enrichment activities, or sporting adventures (nose work, tracking, top dog, weight pull etc.). Have your dog try new things, meet new people and dogs (if appropriate), and enjoy all the world has to offer. Socialization isn't always about meeting as many people and dogs as possible, here we work on building engagement, fun, play, and positive associations all while working at your dogs pace and learning that the world doesn't always engage back. In order to take part in these walks your dog must be comfortable being in a crate in the car, or at minimum a car harness for safety.

Focusing on building positive associations on our walks as well as training basic cues and foundations needed for happy safe walks. 
I will be using my knowledge of body language, knowing your dogs history and triggers, and my training knowledge to create a solid foundation for you to build upon. These walks will be used to give your dog both a mental and physical outlet while learning to navigate around potential or known triggers with as little stress as possible. These walks are great for those wanting to tire out their dogs while they are at work or for owners of reactive dogs, whose dogs need a little more 1 on 1 time to thrive. Games and activities such as tug, personal play, scent games, concept work, and more are often added to these walks, depending on the needs of the individual dog.

First meetings are free and mandatory and will be used to assess your dogs needs as well as have them get used to my presence. 
If you have a trusted trainer you are currently working with I will join in on 1 session free of charge to see what is being worked on under the eye of your trainer. Lessons will only be joined in on by trainers using positive based methods.
